Evaluation Meeting in Belgrade: Learning in Youth Work of the 21st Century

Evaluation Meeting in Belgrade

From 07th to 9thFebruary, 2024, All partners gathered in Belgrade, Serbia, for the evaluation meeting of the “Learning in Youth Work of the 21st Century” project. This meeting marked a important moment for the project, providing an opportunity to review the entire implementation phase, discuss the activities and outputs, and measure the impact on youth organizations and youth workers.

The project, co-funded by the European Union, was developed in response to the increased challenges faced by youth work during the COVID-19 pandemic. It aimed to modernize this sector by facilitating the transition to digital platforms. This shift was crucial as it addressed the growing need for youth workers to adapt their methods to reach young people who are more active online than ever before.

The evaluation meeting in Belgrade served as a platform for all project partners, including Youth Power Germany e.V., IRCD – Serbia, Carousel 8 – Croatia, and Youth Power Ung Kraft – Sweden, to come together and reflect on the lessons learned. The discussions focused on the effectiveness of the educational materials developed and how they have been utilized by youth organizations to engage digitally with their audiences.

A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to identifying key lessons and strategising on how to refine approaches for future projects. This involves understanding what worked well and what could be improved to enhance the impact of youth work in the digital age.

This meeting not only celebrated the successes but also set the stage for future initiatives aimed at empowering youth workers with innovative tools and techniques to navigate the evolving landscape of youth engagement.
