What´s About

Volunteers are the driving force behind the success of our partner organizations. They provide the motivation and fresh energy needed to execute our programs and activities that benefit local communities. While our organisations are deeply committed to achieving our goals, we sometimes overlook the pivotal role that volunteers play.

 

 It is vital that we shift our focus to recognize the importance of their contributions, as they bring unique perspectives and talents to our initiatives. We acknowledge that volunteers may face challenges such as stress and fluctuations in their numbers, and it is our responsibility to provide support and a nurturing environment.

 

With this project, our primary objective is to shift our attention to the needs of our volunteers, with a special emphasis on the younger generation of volunteers who form the backbone of our efforts. We recognise the value of non-formal education in their development and are committed to providing them with basic concepts and values that will enrich their volunteering experience and personal growth.

 

Our aim is to enhance volunteer management by aligning it not only with our organizational goals but also with the unique needs and aspirations of our volunteers. Incorporating non-formal learning into our volunteer management will enable us to empower our volunteers for a more enriching experience and long-lasting impact.

– To learn about Youthpass and new 8 key competences

 

– To raise participants’ ability to identify and pursue their learning needs

The Goals

Project RESULT

Our project has successfully achieved significant impacts, particularly for the direct beneficiaries, the participants. Here are the key outcomes of our project:

 

  • Enhanced Learning: Participants have had the opportunity to explore Youthpass, gain insights into the new 8 key competences, and develop the skills to set and evaluate their learning objectives. They now have a better understanding of the concepts and values of volunteering, as well as the motivations of volunteers. Furthermore, they have grasped the importance of non-formal education and non-formal learning for volunteers, along with practical knowledge on how to incorporate non-formal learning into volunteers’ programs and daily activities.

 

  • Erasmus+ Awareness: Our participants have been introduced to the Erasmus+ Programme and have been encouraged to utilize it in the development of their own initiatives within their organizations and communities.

 

 

  • Multiplier Effect: We anticipate that at least 80% of the participants will serve as multipliers, actively developing support mechanisms for volunteers within their organizations. These mechanisms will facilitate the learning process and outcomes of volunteers. To ensure continued support, our trainers will provide post-course guidance via the Internet for the next 6 months, assisting participants with any difficulties or doubts they may encounter.

 

  • Promotion of Volunteering: Participants will continue to work towards promoting volunteering and communicating the benefits it offers to young individuals.

 

 

  • Impact on Youth Workers: Other youth workers within our organizations will benefit from the knowledge and experience gained by our participants. They will participate in youth trainings organized by our project’s participants. This increase in knowledge and capacity is expected to result in a higher number of volunteers and a greater variety of activities tailored for youngsters. Consequently, our local communities will enjoy improved quality and quantity of youth activities, leading to long-term and sustainable benefits.

 

  • Enhanced Quality of Youth Work: The training course has contributed to enhancing the quality of youth work within our organizations, resulting in a more significant impact on local communities. Following the project, thanks to the active engagement of our participants, local communities will benefit from increased quantity and quality of non-formal education (NFE) youth work. This underscores our commitment to long-term and sustainable impact.
